AT&T Internet Review

AT&T Internet offers speeds that fall behind top competitors, but customizable bundling packages and stable prices make them a reliable option.

The Good

Prices that won't increase

With AT&T, you don’t have to worry about running into any surprises down the road because the company guarantees that its prices won’t change. This is fairly uncommon among cable Internet providers. Many companies raise their prices after one year, two years, or both, so you could end up paying a lot more than you originally anticipated when you signed up for their service.

Build your own AT&T bundle

If you don’t find what you are looking for among the many AT&T packages offered on its website, you can create your own bundle. This customization allows you to choose among five different cable TV plans, five Internet plans, and three phone plans. You can mix and match them in whatever way you like to create a plan that has everything you are looking for. It beats the one-size-fits-all approach commonly offered by many of the other large cable TV and Internet providers.

Battery backup

One unique tool provided by AT&T to its Internet customers is a battery backup, which keeps all of your AT&T services running, even during a power outage. Of course, this only lasts for a few hours, but it is still a great resource to have, especially if you live in an area where the power frequently goes out due to storms.

The Bad

Slightly expensive

AT&T pricing for internet packages is rather high considering that its download speeds are far below average for cable Internet. AT&T Internet could still be a good value if you are looking to bundle several services together, but if you are just looking at its internet, you can find more affordable rates with other companies.
