If you already have a large number of customers, this resource can allow you to save time and avoid data entry errors.

Point of Sale System

In addition to offering high-quality tools and resources for online sales, Shopify is one of few platforms that provides access to a Point of Sale (POS) system. Without a POS, merchants who want to operate an online store and a brick-and-mortar shop often have to keep track of two different inventories, product catalogs, and payments systems. The Bad

No Product Comparison Capabilities

It’s becoming increasingly common for retail website to provide product comparison functionality. For any customer trying to decide between two or three different products, a comparison tool can be a great asset. Many of the top ecommerce software products provide some form of comparison capabilities, however, Shopify currently does not. If a product comparison feature is particularly important to you, Shopify may not be the best fit.

No Social Media Registration and Sign-In

Some of the top ecommerce software allows customers to register and sign in to the online store using social media credentials. Although registration forms are typically not overly burdensome, it is convenient to be able to skip that process if it will increase sales conversions by making life easy on your customers. Similarly, with so many different accounts being created, remembering usernames and passwords can be difficult. With social media integration, customers can register and sign in using information from common social media websites.

Missing One Page Checkout

Shopify does not provide a one page checkout option. Not every online store manager is convinced that a one-page checkout is the way to go, but having the ability to test multiple checkout options would be a superior option. If you are convinced you need a one-page checkout for your customers, Shopify might be an ecommerce solution to avoid.
