Old Republic compared to American Residential Warranty

In contrast to Old Republic, American Residential Warranty is available in most places across America. It doesn’t, however, have the long-term reputation of Old Republic. Old Republic has held a superior BBB rating for over 20 years, which is longer than American Residential Warranty has been in business.

One feature American Residential offers over Old Republic is the coverage of electronics. You can add items such as TVs, game consoles, laptops, and more to your home warranty.

Old Republic compared to Choice Home Warranty

Choice Home Warranty aims to reel in its customers the same way many other service providers do: through a free month. When customers sign up for a payment plan, their first month’s fee is waived. There are limits to Choice plans as well, including a cap for plumbing repairs. With Old Republic, customers can increase their limits with the next level of coverage.

Choice also doesn’t hold the reputation that Old Republic does. The Better Business Bureau gives Choice Home a B-, which is much lower than Old Republic.

The Bottom Line

Old Republic Home Warranty offers reasonably priced coverage with a solid reputation to back it up. While Old Republic has less availability than some other top home warranty companies, it’s worth considering for those who have access to it. Its packages and costs vary by location, but the common thread is good and affordable coverage.
